How long does it generally take for someone in the National Guard to come home after BT and AIT?

depends on mos any where from 4-5 months to 24

Well like the previous answer the length varies based on your job. Generally your recruiter can tell you, or if you'd rather not talk to a recruiter you can look up MOS's at about.military.com the site also will usually be able to tell you the training pattern and length.
