Do you think walking 8 mins. to a train station and then a 1hr. train ride is worth it? Or should I live with my strict grandparents and walk only <5 mins. to the train station and 15 mins. train ride? whick is better?? Thanks a lot.

Oh, and it's for college (double the time for both ways would be 2 hrs and 16 mins. in my house and about 40 mins in my grandparents')

 1. Well, it's up to you. Being closer has its advantages if you can live with rules. Explain to your grandparents that you are an adult and need some freedoms (field trips, group studies, etc..)

 2. Stay where you are!

 3. stay with your parents && learn how to drive. i think thats what im going to do b/c it takes me 40 min to get to school and my freind has to give me a ride everyday and i end up skipping class b/c of her.

 4. I never commuted to school, I always lived in dorms/apartments on or near campus. I would say live as close as possible. Commuting that long will wear you out and take several hours out of each week that you could be using for other things.
