how long does it take for your body to recover from one cigarette to the point as if you have never smoked before.

  1. There are several sites that say that if you're a regular smoker, it'll take you 15 years to get back to your prime health.

    Having never smoked a single cigarette in one's whole life, and smoking just one, I would think the recovery time is faster, but I wouldn't know for sure.

  3. One cigarette is not going to do a lot of damage. Your heart rate will increase as will the amount of carbon monoxide in your body.  When you become a regular smoker you begin to do ( and see ) the damage. Your body should recover within hours after one cigarette.
