I had a complete miscarriage on the 1st of july, but I still haven't had a period at all yet. how long does it take before my body should go back to normal.

I want to start trying again asap.......does anyone know how long or if I should wait a while before I start trying to get pregnant again?

  1. Hi, first off sorry for your loss, 2nd of all have you tried a pregnancy test?  After my 1st M/C in April, bleeding started 28th April and stopped on 30th April, i was testing positive again 4wks later with NO period in between, i actually conceived again within that week.  This pregnancy also resulted in a missed m/c at 12wks and i had to have a d&c in July, i THINK i had my period 2wks after this as i didn't bleed much and then had stopped bleeding completely only to start again after nearly a week with period symptons.    To be honest you should really of had your period by now, think its usually up until 6wks after.  Good luck

  2. With my miscarriage I had last year my periods returned to normal the very next month.  After my miscarriage this year, my period was late by one week, but then my fertility specialist asked me to do a pregnancy test and OMG I was pregnant again, I am currently almost 23 weeks pregnant with a healthy boy.  Test maybe you are pregnant.  Good Luck

  3. Sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage on the 11th August and my doc said i should have my next period between 4 and 6 weeks from the date of miscarriage. I have to go back to him if i dont.
