How long does it take for your teeth to get used to rubber bands for braces?

I don't think it ever does. I had braces for 4 years. What worked 4 me is the wax. Use a lot of it to prevent disconfort. Maybe someone has a better answer but the wax does work.

About two days. Keep plenty of ibuprofen on hand.

the rubber bands that go up and down right...well it takes like 3-4 days

If you mean the kind that go from top to bottom.....then 7 days and counting.  They're still moving or something so my teeth still feel weird.  They never actually hurt though, but I can tell something is going on.

The hardest part for me was not being able to stick my tongue out or YAWN.  As soon as I realized that, I kept wanting to yawn but it never felt satisfying *yawn*  But now my jaw is stronger or something and I can yawn to my heart's content.  Tongue is staying inside my mouth though.  Regained ability to whistle.
