there is usually a 2-5 second delay on the brodcast and then the time it takes to get from the brodcast location to your t.v. set. Satellite is 5-6 seconds slower than cable t.v.

probably about 10 seconds. i think they leave a small gap incase something obscene comes up. and it takes a second or two for the signal to get to your tv
