How long does it take here in Canada to renew a passport?

I have a salvadorean passport and i am trying to travel to St. Lucia on november but i will like to know how long it takes

I applyed for 1 it took 2months,But now if you are canadian ,It only takes 2or3  weeks.If you have a canadien passport after 2002. Good luck

i have no idea on the time frame, since the vacation rush is over? it should go faster now,and getting a passport before the next holidays coming.

Between 4 to 9 weeks by mail, I had renewed mine and received in about 4 weeks.
