How long does it take it to charge my ZR 850 Canon camcorder?

Excellent choice for a camcorder. The battery, because it's is a newer technoloty, can be fully charged in just a couple hours. I'm guessing your charger may have a light indicator that turns color or goes off when the battery is fully charged. But you can charge it any length of time you want. You can charge it just a few minutes, but you'll get just a few minutes use. Here's what it says about this battery:
