How long does it take on the M train to get to NY from Met Ave

Question

If I took the M train from Metropolitan Ave towards NY to Canal Street. How long would the ride take? Also are there express trains??

The J and Z are express, but they do not follow the M to Metropolitan Avenue (after Myrtle, the lines separate from each other).  The M will make all local stops to Metropolitan regardless of what time of day it is.

As for the length of the trip, maybe around 45 minutes is accurate.

There are no express trains on that line. The trip would be about 40-50 minutes.
