i deleted something, but it still shows up under certain searchs. The link is dead, but there's a cached page. How long until the Yahoo processes remove the link and the cached page from search results?

  1. If you look at the Google help page it says it uses the cached page to find a relevant match, but then goes on to say:

The "Cached" link will be missing for sites that have not been indexed, as well as for sites whose owners have requested we not cache their content.

When I did a  search with Yahoo and  then from the cached version of the page clicked on "internet archive", I found with a random site that I could go back 5 years!! For this it uses the Internet Archive Wayback Machine .

I did not find, as with Google, that if the page was mine that I could ask Yahoo to remove it.

    Interesting.

    Good question, thanks.
