How long does it take till stretch marks go away?

I'm a 14 black female and i have Brown stretch marks i hate them , i now this is going to sound odd, but i want to get leaser stretch marks removal they said you only will be able to get them when your stretch marks or fresh and new at lest brown are reddish, i don't even know if I'm old a niff my mom cant afraid it so i going to get it my self when i turn 18. can some one tell me something and also how long did yours take to turn sliver

they never go away. they stay the same forever. the only thing they can do is grow and get bigger!

You may want to check into this a little more. Yesterday (Wednesday) on Oprah (I know, it was a rerun) it was another Dr. Oz day. Anyway, someone asked about laser surgery. According to Dr. Oz, the laser has difficulty "seeing" the difference of good and bad scars on people of color. I don't remember exactly what the question was about, but he had a big, long explanation about it. He said that it could cause more scars than what it was supposed to fix. Then Oprah asked if it were also true for laser EYE surgery. He said no because everyone's eye pupils are the same color.

Anyway, I don't know if Oprah's website updates during reruns, but you may try and check it out since the show was on just yesterday. In case you don't know, I believe her website is www.oprah.com. Good luck.

You are just 14.It's easy to remove stretch marks.Daily apply gingelly oil on the stretch marks, massage it for 10 mts then apply kasturi turmeric+neem powder+aloe juice+curds and rub gently for 10 mts.Wash it as usual.You can see the stretch marks reducing gradually and your skin becoming smoother than any body else.It works slowly even it take months,have patience.Don't stop the workout.Work out tightens your muscle and skin.Do yoga which helps to be stress free.

Stretch marks at this age is due to excessive fat in ur body and sometimes when u try to lose weight  then also u can get stretch marks..They r right that laser wont help u fully at this stage...They can be lighter but wont go away fully..But there r some lotions or creams available which u can try and u will see a remarkable difference but the only drawback is that they would come back if u stop using the creams...

I don't know about surgery. But you can go a cheaper route. I had scars from getting a surgery done. I used this stuff called Maderma (not sure on the spelling). It worked wonders for me. It says right on the bottle that it is also made for stretch marks.

Otherwise you could just wait it out and they will eventually shrink to being barely noticeable.
