How long does it take to accomplish a degree in engineering?

i was wondering how long it takes to accomplish a degree or equivalent in engineering?

Most university engineering courses (undergraduate) that I know of are 4 years full time.

If you are a full time student, it will take 4 years. But if you will not skip the Summer Classes, it will take you 3 1/2 years to finish your degree in engineering.  And if you are a working student, it will take you 5 years.

When I did my Mechanical Engineering Degree it was 3 years to do a Bachelor degree or 4 years to do a Masters degree.

The minimum time to complete most degrees in engineering is 4 years. Most people I know off take longer. Note that some universities kick people out if they don't complete their first year subjects in the first two years and some wont allow you to re-register if you fail more than half of your subjects, so find out the finer details of the course so that you know what you are letting yourself in for.
