  1. My brother is a PT.  You can do all of your regular requirements through a community college, but then have to transfer to a medical college to get a masters.  It took him 6 years of full schedule classes.

  2. a long time........I believe you have to go to school alot but maybe in your eyes it will pay off

    hope I helped:)

  3. couple of years. but i'm sure you will be a great physical therapist!

  5. It takes about 6 years to become a physical therapist. 3 years of Medical generals and 3 years of hands on stuff. With this you get a DPT (Doctorate in Physical Therapy) hope this answers your question

  6. 15 years

  7. it should take you about 2 years in community college and another 2 years in a therapist university or college.

  8. Two years, unless you went to a trade school, then it should take no more than 12-14 months !i

  9. Id say about 2 years tops

  10. If you plan on becoming a physical therapist (and not an assistant), you will eventually need to transfer to a four year university and complete your gen eds and your PT prerequisites and BS degree courses.  Your BS (if required) can be in any field you wish, but you must complete the prerequisite courses before going on to the graduate PT program. This usually involves a year of general chem, bio and physics as well as 1-3 semesters of psych, anatomy and physiology and statisitics and calc/trig.

Overall, to become a PT, its a 6-7 year process.  I would suggest going to the APTA website at www.apta.org to learn more

  11. too long ... not really worth the money ... better off going for a 3 year assitant physical therapy degree or certification ... make a little less money but you actually work with the patient and don't have as much stress as it's the physical therapist job to arrange the schedule of exercises and such. Possibly think of aimming for a Nurse or Physicians assistant as they pay better and are just below that of a doctor ... about 6 or 7 years of schooling. 60k and up a year though with less headache and good job security.
