How long does it take to be approved for a yahoo group?

It depends on the group. Some have no screening, so you join immediately.

Some have screening questions, and that depends on how fast you answer. Make sure you check your spam folder to make sure a questionaire didn't go there by accident.

Some groups are abandoned by their owners, and you'll never get approved.

You have to wait at least 14 days for an owner / moderator to approve your membership. (of course if their mails are active - if not, better find another group to join)

unmoderated groups [full of spam in about 2 days] are instant, while moderators will have to okay you in a moderated group.
