How long does it take to be approved for the I129F spousal visa (this is for Vermont Service Center)?

We applied this May 2008 and our receipt says they received it on May 28. Some of the applicants got approved already, the ones who's I129F were handled by California Service Center. But we still haven't gotten any news for ours. Does anyone know how long this will take and is there anything that we can do to speed up the process? Thank you!

Present processing time in VT is 6.5 months.
