  1.           A very, very long time. If you are adeemed unfit while during basic you'll spend more time in section 8 or whatever its called can't remember (been 8 years), you will be stuck there longer than people that stuck it out and graduated. It takes anywhere from I to 3 months to get through all the paperwork. Now if your declared unfit while at your actual duty station it takes several months sometimes close to a year. I know many people that were getting out due to suicidal reasons and many of them it took many months before they got out. Instead of going to their job they would get stuck cleaning around trash around the dormitory until their paper work was completely processed. Its a very long painful process. It seems from what I've seen though that people that claim their g*y get out the quickest.

  2. Usually longer than it would have to stay and complete the Basic Training. Then, he has a stigma following him forever. Hopefully he won't become a statistic. It happens too often when they get home, alcoholism, drug abuse, suicide, low paying, unfullfilling jobs (many of them), too bad nobody could get him to live up to his committments with Honor, it overflows into later life,  Being an Official quiter is hard to handle.

  3. Sit back & relax, we are talking about U. Sam after all.
