  1. totally, i'm at uq in 4th yr.

it's 4yrs for BPsycSc incl. hons. then 2yrs Masters specialising in clinical psyc (i would guess it's then you specialise in forensics).

after the 2yrs masters you can practice as a psyc in oz, though if you want to go overseas you might want to look at doing a doctorate as some overseas boards don't accept masters as enough qualifications.

checkout the psyc website for more info

    http://www.psychology.org.au/

    hope this helps. good luck

as for salary check this out

    http://www.psychology.org.au/prac_resour...

though now with the medicare rebate, if you specialise as a clinical psyc or some other specialist area your clients can claim a higher rebate compared with a generalist psyc.

  2. you should inquire at a college that offers the major. it will also depend on your course load.

  3. If you've read 6 then that is probably correct.

In the UK it is about 6 years minimum (that includes a BSc in Psychology)  you have to do an MSc or maybe even a doctrate and I am sure there is a training placement before you can go off and work alone.

They probably start earning at the higher end of the graduate pay scale and can earn, at least here, in excess of £60,000 p.a.

Look on the internet for the Australian Psychology Society, or Society of Australian Psychologists (probably APS at a guess) they will be able to give you all the information you need.
