How long does it take to become a lifeguard?

I am 15 and I am gonna start lifeguard classes to become a lifeguard at 16

(I turn 16 July 14th) will I have my lifeguard license by then?

  1. Well, you have to take a lifeguard course, and the Red Cross ones are 40 hours long (and spread out on a few days), so if you take one and it runs straight through a week, (assuming you pass everything) then you should have it at the end of the classes.

    The minimum age is 15.


  2. well first you can be 15 to be a lifeguard and secondly it takes about 36-40 hours if your doing it with red cross!
