  1. In general, most medical schools in North America require that you have a degree first. Depending on the school (I'm speaking from a Canadian perspective), this may be either a 3 or 4 year degree.

There is at least one medical school in Canada (University of Saskatchewan) that will *consider* applicants with only 2 years of Pre-Med and no completed degree. That does not mean 2 years will necessarily get you in, however. McMaster's (Hamilton) med program is 3 years in length, as it runs all semesters back to back. No other school in Canada does this, as far as I know.

Excluding these exceptions, in *general* terms, usually most universities (Canadian) require:

    -A 3 or 4 year degree

    -4 Years of Medical School

    -Minimum 2 years Residency

If you are lucky to get into the MD program at The University of Saskatchewan after 2 years Pre-Med, you could be 100% done in 8 and working as a Family Practice MD.

You didn't say where you live, so your best bet is to call the local universities in your area.

Good luck and enjoy studying Medicine!

  4. Depends on which country you are studying in, If it is India it is 6 years and US 8 years

  5. Four years college.

    Four years medical school.

    Three years residency training.
