How long does it take to become a registered nurse?

or how long does it take to be an LVN?..which one is faster? and can i take classes online to become an LVN?

RN usually takes 2 years, although some schools want you to have prerequisites before starting the program. LVN (or LPN) takes 1 year. I doubt you could find online classes for LVN because you have a lot of hands-on clinical work required. You may be able to find a program that lets you do the classroom part online and then the clinical on location somewhere. I don't know of any and I think they would be much more expensive if you were to find one.
