  1. First it can vary from person. My friend and I were natural fighters. We saw this guy take martial arts for years and he was still pretty bad it. It all depends on how much time u put in it. I still think the best fighters are street fighters, anything goes.

  2. Sorry, theres no definitive answer to this.

There are so many variables involved as to make any sort of estimate worthless.

Do you train currently? What in?

  3. I was in Karate for 10 years I went all the way to my 1st degree black belt and I was pretty good at it. But it all depends on what you think. Some may say you are good enough for professional fighter and others may not. It is up to you to decide. It just takes a lot of practice and patience.

  4. I thought I was good when I was in karate, then I went to an MMA gym. Those guys were good, I was at par with them. Then I moved to a large city, now I train with Olympians. Holy c**p, I'm getting my *** handed to me :) And I know I'll never be better because I train less, started later and have less talent.

  5. Watch the Karate Kid, it has all your answers.

wipe on wipe off, wipe on wipe off.

  6. it depends on the style and the person and what you consider good. if you consider doing a front kick and  punching good then it will take 1 lesson. if you consider 10th dan good then decades.  i would say at least a couple of years of hard training at least.

  7. Most martial arts take about a decade to get a black belt so if you have experience in several martial arts for at least 5 years, you can start fighting in MMA and keep training. In MMA it seems that most people have a minimum of 5 years before they start at mid level MMA.

  8. that all depends on many factors from how much patience, will power, strength, determination, natural ability, smarts, maturity and most of all DISCIPLINE  you have and also how good your instructor is and how much time you are investing in it.

  9. That all depend on you, young grasshopper.

  10. Most martial arts take most of a lifetime about 50 years to master or reach professional level. Martial arts like karate and taekwondo takes about a a decade which is ten years.

  11. There is no set time frame, but the ability to fight professionally is seperate to being a good martial artist. A good martial artist can train for years and learn all the moves, but still have their *** kicked by a good fighter. Your ability to read a fight, be adaptive and to take/deliver blows can not learned like a spinning roundhouse kick. Basically it takes years to become good at a martial art, but you either have what it takes or don't when it comes to fighting.

  12. I don't take martials arts lessons, but many of my friends do, and it takes years of practice to become good at it. It's the same for many hobbies and careers, unfortunately. Good luck. :)

  13. How long does it take to get to a professional fighter's level?

    Your whole life.
