  1. it all depends where you are located and with which one you are going. i think "naui" is the best cheapset i got it for 300 done deal for the classes pool sesions evrything

then you have "padi" what i think it is a little more expensive and the equiment is your choice

go to www.primescuba.com they have classes and equipment for the best prices good luck

  2. I Am 12 And last year i got my scuba liscense. it took about 5 weeks...  but if u look at the nearest scuba shop and ask them they can tell you...

  3. Cost will vary some from location to location, and whether it is a private class or a group class.  For a group class, I would estimate the following:

Basic equipment (mask, fins, snorkle): $300 to $500

Pool and class sessions:  $200 to $300

Open water certification dives:  $200 to $300

The group classes that I teach typically take 5 week nights (about 4 hours each).  This will cover the pool and classroom.  After this, there are four certification dives which are held over a weekend (two dives per days).

  4. It's going to depend on the going rate in your area.  Around here:

5-6 days of classes, with confined and open water dives included: $375 US

Personal equipment (mask / snorkel / fins / booties): $200-$300 US, depending on styles chosen.
