  1. Less than one year and for less than $50,000 USD.

Start with the Private, Commercial, Instrument, Multi and CFI/CFI-I.

Worry about the ATP and jet once you have the above. By then you'll have your road map clearly charted.

Check out any USA Part 141 school. Some are cheaper than others. I am personally familiar with American Flyers and know someone who began their training in September and is already completed his private, Commercial, Instrument and CFI. He is building hours as an instructor while preparing for his multi. Something to consider...

    Best luck.

  2. With Oxford Aviation the course takes 18 months.

The average time is between 18 to 24 months.

I am sure the time will vary with differnet countries, but for the UK, try the CAA website for more information.

Feel free to IM with any other questions you may have.

  3. If you have the money for the flying hours and the will to work hard 12-18 months should be enough if you go to the states.

Probably the cheapest in the world.

  4. First of all you've gotta do it in order. PPL,IFR,CPL,MEL,then you'll be a CPL MEL IFR rated pilot. Then you can get a job, as a flight instructor to build hours or fly cargo or something like that. The lasssttt step would be ATPL,because the hour requierment is about 1500. It's not very smart to PAY for 1500 hours lol. That's why people get their CPL then build time as a low paid pilot to get to 1500. What you could do however is do the ATPL ground course and then do the written exam at your local aeronautical authority, way before getting 1500 hours. This is an advantage for pilots looking for work. Lastly,to become a commercial pilot rated multi engine land, instrument, could take you a year or less if your vigorously put your mind to it and have the resources.

  5. First at all it depends on your will and your flying skills.

Secon there is Jaa atpl wich it will take longer cuz its more detailed and Faa atpl as far as i know is arounfd 1 year without calculating , the extra flying hours or if you need to reenter the exams...

Its goog to do it all at once but now days there are integrated courses that prepare you to be direct as a first officer.

  6. Depend on where you want to do it and it depend a lot on the weather. In Denmark it takes about 18-22 month and cost about US$130000 if I remember correctly the minimum time it has to take acordingly to the law, then it has to take at least  12 months.

( having done this my self 18 months is a resonable time to expect - learning all the stuff is HARD work so dont expect a easy ride if you want to do it in that time.)
