  1. 31 hours.  Ask Alexander Roy, who, with a co-driver,  broke the unofficial transcontinental driving record, racing from New York City to the Santa Monica Pier in 31 hours and four minutes in a  BMW M5.  The distance of the trip was 2,795 miles.

For the rest of us, driving the same distance would take 41 hours, or about 5 days traveling 8 hours per day.

  2. It depends on where you're going and where you're coming from, and how fast you go. The longest distance in the U.S. is from Southern California to New England, or Seattle, Wa. to Southern Florida. Lets say for example L.A. to N.Y., N.y. which is about 3000 miles. At an average speed of 60 MPH that's about 50 hours of driving. If you drive 12 hours a day that's a hair over 4 days.

  3. approx 5 days

  4. As long as it takes to leave the highway and drive into the first river or swamp.

  5. What country? US? UK? China? Japan? or maybe Zimbabwe?

  6. it really depends on how fast you're going....post another question asking.....how long would it take to drive across the country going _mph? I will be looking for it!
