28 hours.   Very bad roads most of the way compared to USA standards.  Be aware there are few gas stations conveniently located along the way.  You will find many in one place, but there are looooooong stretches where there is absolutely nothing.

If you prepare properly, it will be one of the most memorable and exciting drives of your life.

it takes 15 hours &.25 minutes from Matamoros-Tamaulipas to Acapulco-Guerrero (non stop), so add meals time, restrooms, etc.

(Matamoros inTamaulipas, Nuevo León,Coahuila, San Luis Potosí, Queretaro, Hidalgo, Mexico, D.F., Morelos, Acapulco in Guerrero,  those are the states tha youpll cross).
