Good god do not go to trabolgan -- I went there last year and it is a filthy place, disgusting guest houses, knacker ridden hole.

I am sorry to disappoint you, but if you are thinking of holidaying there -- please reconsider if you want a nice holiday.

I'd say about 4 to 4 and a half hours - i'm from athlone and can drive from athlone in 2.5 to 3 hours.
