  1. Fresh cut (green wood) takes 6-12 months the dry (season) If is just wet from rain it takes just a few days.


  2. simply take a hatchet and split off the outside edges of the pieces  unless it has been soaking in water wood only gets wet just under the bark  we do alot of camping this method is the best we have tried

  3. It depends if it was seasoned before it was in the rain, If it was then just a couple days. Most hardwoods should "season", or dry for about 6 months before burning.

  4. try a couple of months and that is if they are in the direct sun.

  6. depends on how long its been cut for. fresh cut still alive wood can take up to a year to dry after being split. the wood if already dried before the rain will only take a few days to dry.

  7. It can take a while.... But I'll let you in on a secret... 99% of the time, if you split the wood in half it's dry on the inside. (unless it's a twig..)
