I presume it would take about a couple hours if you had all your paperwork in order before you sat down to fill out the forms.   I would think that all things financial would be itemized, proper documentation presented, etc.  

The wait for it to go through will probably take much longer though.......count will be in months not days.

It will most likely take at least 3 months, and may take up to a year.  Not all bankruptcies are granted through.  Laws concerning valid reasons have changed a couple years ago, thus  there is no guarantee you will get one just because you file for one.
