How long does it take to file taxes through mail?

how long does it take when you file your taxes throught the mail?... i sent them out about a month ago.. should i be hearing something from someone anytime soon?

The General Income Tax Guide says that if you file after April 15th, the normal processing time is about six weeks. That's the normal time. It is possible that you could be selected for review before they send out your refund, though. Makes sense to me that they'd review your return before sending your assessment notice.

Either waty, call 1-800-959-8281 and ask them about the return.

4-6 weeks is the usual, but it can also depend on the complexity of the return and whether they need to go back and double check anything.
