Look for an airline that fly from SFO to Bangkok and connection to Beijing and then back to SFO, a round trip is more economical.    Time depends on the route & stops.  The airline will help when booking.

I fly from Seattle Washington usually. Depending on the Airline I use and the stop overs....Korean Air has like a 6 hour stopover....no fun.

The flight itself (in the air) is usually 13 hours with China Air or Eva.

It really depends on the airline you are flying with...make sure you know how long the stopovers are.

From SFO to BKK is about 16-18 hrs. depending on the time of year and the jetstream plus any layover time, no airline flies non-stop to BKK from SFO. A non-stop flight from SFO to Beijing is a little over 12 hours. Flightimes are always less, sometimes a lot less going back to the US from Asia because of the jetstream.
