How long does it take to fly to the philippines and to Japan from the middle of the U.S.?

I think Joe is Right...Its about 12-14 hrs from LAX to Japan 1 stop flight.. (flew last march from LAX to Phils.)

well, from the west coast it was about 16 hours i think on philippine airlines or on japan airlines (i've ridden on both) so maybe add a few more hours to that depending on where in the US.

Its about 14 hours from LAX to Manila.  Same from LAX to Japan.  Some airlines fly from Detroit or other international airports direct to Japan.  About the same flight time if they take a northern route with no other stops. Understand that both destinations you give take different routes to get there from USA typically.  It takes 12-1/2 hrs direct from Manila to LAX.  East to west takes longer than West to East.  There's not enough space here to explain why.
