How long does it take to fully recover after an inguinal hernia operation?

Also I'm 19 and healthy as a mule and I heal really quickly

  1. You'd be moving real slow for a few days. After about a week, moving a bit better, but easily tired. Full healing won't be done for about 6 weeks.


  2. I had a regular one, some time ago. It was about a week until I was functional. Maybe 6 before I was fully back to normal, but I'm talking being the way I was before the surgery. I could still get around fine.

    Some have laparoscopic procedure and it heals very quickly.

    Might ask your surgeon if that's an option. It's a lot less traumatic.
