How long does it take to gain membership for sdfreecycle. I have been waiting for awhile.?

With this particular group, it might take a little longer for membership approval than with other groups.  It is a huge group with over 13,000 members and an enormous amount of postings, all of which must be moderated and approved by the moderators.  With all that activity, it must keep them hopping just to keep the group going.  

Please be patient with them.  They have 14 days to approve your membership, so you will probably be hearing back from them soon.  You will receive an email from Yahoo and from the group moderator once your have been approved for membership.  I hope you enjoy it once you can participate!
