How long does it take to get a Commercial Driver's License?

Question

Does it take years or months or what? I'm still pretty young and not really that close to getting a license yet, but as soon as I'm eligible i want to get a Commercial Driver's License. But is it even possible to get a commercial license as early as the age of 16? If so, then what kind of tests must you take and are they hard? I've tried to find out, but I'm still a bit young so i don't really understand most of the details and information i manage to find. Thanks for you're help! =)

it could be done in one day if tests are passed,but i never heard a 16 yr old getting a commercial license

Are you asking about a license to drive a truck?  The reason I ask is because you put this in the aircraft section.  If you are asking about a commercial pilot's license, the answers will be quite different.

what do you want drivers or pilots

you have to be 21 to get a interstate cdl

some states you only have to be 18 for a intrastate cdl, but thats for only in state driving

it takes taking all the tests, and doing the road test and the pre-trip inspection, so if you pass all the written test, and have the road test set up, you can get it done in a few days, you will need a DOT physical, and a truck to take the test in
