  1. Be proactive!

    If its been a month since you filled out a application, give human resources a ring and check the status of your application.

    ALSO, fill out a thank you card and mail it to the person who interviewed you as well.

    The person who shows the most attention gets the job!

  2. It can be same day, or several months, or never, depending on their needs.  If you don't hear anything in 6 months, apply again.
