How long does it take to get a car title from a bank?

I just bought a car in RI and the owner had to pay off the lien at the bank. How long aproximatley will it take for the title to get to me?

Long enough for your payment to clear, and for someone to remember to sign off on it, and to remember to put it in the mail.  From there, just a few days for the letter to get to you.

From the day the bank gets the check they hold it for 10 business days while it clears, it takes about 5 days for it to go through processing ( the release of the lien and to have the proper parties sign off on it.) after everything is said and done it takes about 3 weeks to get a title from a bank.
