  1. You can get them in 24 hours for a charge, just go to you registry office. I got mine within 4 days through the post.


  2. You can go to choice point and get a copy of a birth certificate overnighted to you. You can also call your local government office and it will take about a week (in state local).

  3. You've posted this in the 'adoption' section.

    If you are an adoptee - many states have closed records - meaning - you will NEVER (no matter your age) be able to obtain a copy of your original birth certificate.

    NEVER.

    Adoptee's are discriminated against.

  4. If it's for a newborn, you can go straight to the records department and get them on the spot.  If not, it takes a few weeks unless you pay for faster service.
