  1. It usually takes a few weeks, but you can ask for an expedited process.  It costs a bit more, but if you need a passport soon, ask at your local courthouse for an expedited passport.

  2. Currently, about 3 to 3 and a half months.  Expedited, about a month.  The passport service tends to be too optmistic in their statements of how long it will take, so add a few weeks to whatever they say.

  3. Let me give you an example of what you could run into.

My mom is going to Phys. Ther.  Her PT is a female, married, from Canada.  They are here legally, however, she and her hubby have had to jump hoops just to try to get passports to go visit relatives before their 2nd child is born.  Which now it will have to wait until afterwards.

I'm hearing it can take months.  Pictures are a piece of cake.  Dealing with the govt. is a nightmare now with all these new regs. for Canadians and Mexico and Carribean travel to the U.S. Territories as well.

  4. 30 days buddy

  5. 72 years and 3 days.

  6. in 2005 i got my passport in like 2 weeks yeah (wow) and ig got my visa that was from the french counselot in that time span too even bigger suprise. Now i read about it taking weeks and months and it is hard for me to believe it. glad i got it when i did.

  7. It's supposed to take 4-6 weeks but because of the new regulations requiring a passport for most travel out of the US, it's been taking longer, even up to 4 months.  They supposedly brought in additional people to help process the backlog so maybe things have gotten a little better.

  8. Applied end of  rec'd it end of July.

  9. depends if you put a rush on it....typically 6-10 weeks..
