How long does it take to get a phone call after the adoption application is sent IN TEXAS?

Hello, my husband and I just mailed off our application YESTERDAY and we're so excited. We want to adopt through CPS. In Texas, what is the approx. wait time from here until the phone call and home study follow?

it could take weeks, it could take months. They have to send for all your refernces you gave and read thru all your info. We were told that once you have a "case workers name" at the agency then call and bug them, politely. I'd call every week even if you only can leave a message on machine. thats what our cps worker told us to do.

My cousin and his wife got the call in two weeks, but they have friends in their "non traditional family support group" ho got the call sooner, and others who waited a couple of months.  I hope you are one of the short list people.
