I'm in the U.S. and because I was less than 14 when we moved here, I'm only in my dad's very expired USSR passport. I'm sending my application for a new passport/passport renewal on Monday but wondering how long it'll take. Anyone wants to share their experiences? The consulate gives me a different story every time I ask.

  1. well am not Russian but i do want to go there because i love the music, and to improve my russian some.

For me it took about late 2 to early 3 months. It seemed for ever so just be patient.

    am spanish by the way

  2. Are they still using the Stalinist Five-Year-Plans there?  *laughter*

  3. well as russian and in Russia i can say that here it takes 10-14 days to get a new russian passport, and if i'm not mistaking only a week if you changing it.

But how is it going to be for you unfortunately i don't know. Hope not too long.

Or are you talking about russian foreign passport??? If so then here it takes about 2-3 months to get a new one, and if you're exchanging old one on new one then 1-2 months.

    good luck
