How long does it take to get a tourist visa from Dominican Republic to the U.S.?

I want to know what I have to do to send for the person and about how long the process takes, from applying to the person actually getting here? ANY help will be appreciated!

There is only one way for a person in ANYcountry to get a tourist visa to the U.S.  He must go in person to the nearest American Embassy if he does not have internet acess.  If he has access, he can go to site below.  Read All directionscarefully.  Fill out and print out the FormDS156 and if theperson is male or over age16, also DS 157.  Then follow directins to CALL the nearest embassy and make an appointment for an interview.  When thedoes this, he will also see info that tells how long  wait time is for an appointment and then how long after the app't it takes to get the visa.  All application papers must be completed in ENGLISH only.  The fee is $131.00.  It usually takes about 3 to 4 months for the process.  The person must obtain a Dominican Republic passport before applying for a visa to the U.S.
