How long does it take to get a visa to turkey?

I am a Nigerian and i came to England in August 07, i want to go on vacation with my family to turkey and i was told i need a visa. How long does it take to get a visa?? thanks for answering.

Last year it was still the case that you pay £10 on arrival and they place the visa in your passport there and then.

It says 6 to 8 weeks on the Turkish consulate website. If you are Nigerian but living in the UK you have to apply for your visa in person at the Turkish consulate, but you can fill in the forms and book an appointment online.

According to the information on the Turkish Consulate's website it takes 6-8 weeks. You need to make an appointment first which you can do online. They say you will also need to prove that you have $50 per day for the time that you are in Turkey.

All i have ever had to do is pay £10 at passport control, they stamp your passport and you've got a visa. but twice straight away
