How long does it take to get approved into a membership required Yahoo group?

I have signed up for a Fear of Driving Yahoo group a week or so ago and I am still seeing "membership pending" so I am wondering if I have missed a step in signing up... or if it just takes awhile... or if something happened to that group? The Yahoo site says there are over 1100 members in Fear of Driving, and I eagerly wait to join them and discuss concerns with them. Does anybody know about that group or the time fram for getting approved to yahoo groups in general?

Membership approval or denial is given when the owner/moderators get around to it. That could take some time or maybe never. You could also trying to cancel your request and re-submit again. If I have not recieved a response within 24-48 HRS I cancel my request and MOVE ON to another group.Good Luck ! ! !

sometimes the owners are not so active, or they're MIA. if they don't approve you within 14 days, good sign of the above.

as a group owner [ 2 ] myself,I can only think somethings happened to the group owner. with that many members,the group owner SHOULD have several moderators to help him/her out

In our group [e-mail], after we receive your request for membership, you will receive an email from the owner or moderator asking you for a little information about yourself.  After you send this back, usually it doesn't take any time for membership to be approved.

its up to the owner/moderator to log in and approve, if they have not approved in 14 days then yahoo will reject.
