How long does it take to get from 59th street to city hall on the 6 train?

and do the trains usually stay stuck inbetween stations for long periods of times?

If you are at 59th Street, it would be a lot easier to take the 4 or 5 due to the fact that those are express trains, and only stop at 42nd Street-Grand Central, 14th Street-Union Square, and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.  The ride would only take about 10 minutes.  However, if you wish to take the 6, which is a local train and will make every stop, you will be stopping at 51st Street, 42nd Street-Grand Central, 33rd Street, 28th Street, 23rd Street, 14th Street-Union Square, Astor Place, Bleeker Street, Spring Street, Canal Street, and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.  The ride on the 6-Train from 59th Street to City Hall would be about 20 minutes.  I hope this has been helpful.


  2. like 30 minuets, transfer to the 4 or 5 to take it express itl be like 15 minuets....
