It's an hour and a half from the Pisa Airport train station to Florence. The 2nd class ticket cost is 5.40 euro. You can check specific schedules at the Italian train website: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html....

Make sure you validate the ticket before you get on the train. A ticket is good for up to two months from purchase, so you have to time stamp it when you use it. The yellow machines near the tracks are for this purpose.

if you take our taxi's you get there much faster!!!! heheheh my American friends were amazed at our taxi drivers in Italy....... :) if you haven't experienced them you need too!!!!

i advise the train is less expensive... about 15euro for one.

Besides the train -- which is convenient but be sure you get on a train direct going to Florence or you will have to switch at the main Pisa train station --  another easy and direct way to get from Pisa airport to Florence is the Terravision Bus. The bus departs frequently from the Pisa airport and goes to the main train station in Florence, Santa Maria Novella. Some of the buses also stop at the Florence airport.

The trip by bus takes about 70 minutes and costs 8 euro/one-way for adults and 4 euro for children.

Hi - Last time we did this journey from Pisa Airport by train to Florence it took around 1 hour + - something like 10Eur.return

Very important to validate your ticket in the machine (Yellow) before you board the train otherwise a big on the spot fine! (50 Euros)  Ticket inspectors are on the ball in Italy! Hope this info helps.
