How long does it take to get from one side of tahiti to the other?

i searched on google already and found a type of transport that is called le bus and runs from papeete to taravao? is this right and how long would it take?

Yes we call it here "truck" or Bus and it could take you more than an hour to get from Papeete to Taravao by bus.

Why you want to go to Taravao? if it's for a circle island I recommand you Travel Tours it will be more confortable and as it's a guided tour, you'll learn more about Tahiti. Le Bus is the public transportation and can also be nice but you won't stop at cultural sites to visit it and won't learn about interesting areas.
