  1. This is a question that involves Physics and simple equations in Mathematics...

    Theorem

Distance = Rate (speed or velocity) x Time

    Distance is easy

    238,857 Miles

Rate is your speed or how fast you are going.

This will depend on the thrust of your rocket motors.  Assuming you are using conventional rocket motors lets say you are going approximately 16,000 miles per hour

So now you have two of the parts of the above Equation to find the third.  Now, we will use basic algebra to find the answer.

    Step 1

    238,857 Miles = 16,000 mph x Time

    Step 2

    238,857 / 16,000 mph = Time

    Step 3

14.93 (rounded) = time in hours

    Step 4

    60 x .93 = 55.8 conversion to time in minutes

    Answer:

14 hours and 56 Minutes Rounded  (About 15 hours)

So it takes about fifteen hours to get to the moon according to these figures.  You can change your rate (speed) to determine your time to get to the moon, but the distance will remain the same (Even though the moon actually does change its distance from the Earth, use this distance as a general rule of thumb).

Below are some reference materials for calculations.

Good Luck and enjoy your flight!

  2. 3 days

  3. Well if you assume that your "rocket" ship travels at the speed of light-------- then just look up an object on Google -- for example:

"Orion Nebular light years" -------- answer about 1500

  4. ask a space man lol :D funny

  5. The Apollo missions took 3 days to get there and another 3 days to get back.
