  1. Yes, it does stop in other countries.  In fact, you can't take the train directly from the UK to Germany.  You'd have to take the Eurostar (chunnel) from London to Paris, and then make the onward connection to Germany from there.

  2. Depends where you want in Germany - its a big country! Assuming you go by Eurostar then you will probably go via Brussels (i.e. Belgium). This takes less than 3 hours from London. You change there for a train to Cologne, via Liege and Aachen. From memory this will take about 3 hours. Cologne (Koln in German) is a major railway hub and you can get to most places from there.  Try the journey planner on the DB website  which someone has given a link to. This is excellent and you can use it in English.

  3. The time it takes to eat 2 pre packed loaded sandwiches, one bottle of diet coke, a kit kat. go to the toilet twice for a number1 read half a magazine while chomping on jelly babies, a return visit to the toilet to throw up all the c**p you just ate then before you know it you're there.......x x x

  4. it takes approximately 34789348394280 hours and it stops in Greece and Italy.

  5. You could travel a number of ways.

Eurostar to Brussels (so England, France and Belgium)

Belgium to one of the Rhur cities (Belgium and Germany, possibly Luxembourg and Holland)

Rhur cities onwards to all parts of Germany.

    Or

Eurostar to Paris (England and France)

Paris to Southern Germany area (France and Germany)

If you are heading to the southern borders possibly may clip into Swizterland or even Austria

Time wise could be anything from 5 to 24 hrs dependant on connections and area required.

Get a rail Europe pass if you want to travel around.

  6. All Depends where in Germany you want to go!

The Eurostar to Brussles takes around 2hrs20m. Then you have great thaylas or ICE conections.
