  1. If you go to the embassy they will issue it the same day....be prepare to be there all day.

    Things You’ll Need:

    Proof of Mexican citizenship

Completed forms OP-5 and Aid Page to be presented to your local Mexican Consulate

    3 color pictures

Step1Make sure walk-ins are accepted before going to your local Mexican Consulate with all your documents. Due to the high volume of passport requests by Mexican citizens all over the US, many Mexican Consulates throughout the country will only see you by appointment. Depending on where you live, the appointments can be 3-4 months down the road.

Step2Complete form OP-5 for an adult and form OP-7 for a child. Form OP-7 is permission granted by a minor child's parents or legal guardians to issue a passport in that child's name. The parents of the minor child must accompany the child to the consulate with two pieces of ID. If one of the parents is unable to be present, he or she will need to sign form OP-7 and specify to which Mexican consulate the form is to be sent.

Step3Provide proof of your Mexican citizenship. You will need a certified copy and 2 copies of your Birth Certificate. The copies must be two-sided.

Step4Provide an original Mexican ID and 2 photocopies of the same. The ID must have been issued by a Mexican Authority and include a picture bearing an official seal.

    The following are acceptable:

Credencial de elector (Voter' s card)

    Certificate of Studies

ID from any Mexican learning institution

    Official letter of good conduct

Cartilla de Servicio Militar Nacional (Military Service National ID card)

    Matrícula Consular (Consular ID Card)

Step5Provide 3 passport pictures in color, 4.5 x 3.5 cm, front-sided, taken in front of a white background, without glasses and uncovered head and ears.

Step6Make the corresponding payment by completing the Hoja de Ayuda (Aid Page). It can be downloaded from the internet. If you do not have access to the internet, check with you local consulate and see if they will accept the payment directly in their office.

KEEP in mind there are same day services!

  2. well first you need an appointment, then on the day of the appointment you get your passport that same day the process takes about 1-2 hours depends on how many people and depends if you have all your documentations (all the copies most be in white and black or they make you take extra copies there its better if you take then copies yourself and not there because it will be more time you have to wait). also you need to have the money that same day for 6 years its 101 dollars.

    hope it helps

oh and listen closely to everything that ladies in front say because if you miss your turn. you will have to wait more or they will tell you to come back tomorrow or to make another appointment.

  3. could take days, could take weeks or even months. Depends on how nice they feel today
