well it really depends on your body. my doctor told me once your periods become back regular then your body is back to normal im not sure how true that is because i took the depo in december 2007 i was due for anothe rone in march but i didnt get it. my oeriods began to be regular in june..so has for rite now im TTC and hopefully the lord bless me to become pregnant and be able to carry my baby full term before the year is out.... good luck to u and god bless

I got pregnant with my first whilst on it, and with my 4th the month after I came off it, as others have said it does depend but thought this may give you hope.

just to let you know i know all bodies are different but i got one shot of depo vera and after gaining over 25 lbs in 3 weeks i never went back and wasnt able to get pregnant in 3 1/2 years. But that was just me i guess....im not sure it depends because my doctor told me after a full year of depo vera after you stopped it would take about 1 year maybe 1 1/2 and it was longer for me. it took me 4 years but it totally depends on each individual x
